Concept for variable care homes in building modules

In the coming decades, more and more buildings will be needed that can offer our elderly people an environment worth living in. But what can such buildings look like?

AUKETT + HEESE Frankfurt, in cooperation with a commercial expert for the development and operation of care real estate, has developed an appropriate expertise based on various studies and concrete projects.

These include the conversion of a 12-storey administrative building in the city centre of FFM into a hybrid-used care, health, and nursing staff flat property, as well as the planning for a care group building concept of different providers in one property, on a challenging hillside site in the outskirts of NRW.

This planning was the result of a concept study to develop these modules as universally as possible to determine reliable space requirements and decision-relevant costs for different combinations, 3 – 12 groups with 8-12 residents each.

Further studies on the requirements and characteristics of floor plans and interior qualities in nursing homes for the elderly also formed the basis for a specialist lecture: “Converting nursing homes – risks & opportunities”
