Commerzbank Korbach, 2019

AUKETT+HEESE were commissioned by the Commerzbank AG with the 1st extension of the shop area of a residential and commercial building into a city branch in Korbach.

During the planning phase, the comprehensive design concept specified by the Commerzbank, which included a large number of functions and detailed requirements for the almost 100 m² area, was transferred to the spatial conditions of the future City branch. We supervised the project from the preparation of the feasibility study through all project phases to the completion and opening of the branch.

At the same time, we planned, coordinated and supervised – through the involvement of an experienced local colleague – the demolition of the 600m², 3-storey previous branch in Korbach, from which the Commerzbank as tenant moved out after 50 years. Even the safes concreted in the basements on site at the time had to make way for this – cut up on site and transported away through temporary ceiling breakthroughs.
